World Opportunities currently receives and distributes a wide variety of different gifts-in-kind. We accept the following types of goods:
- Medicines – Prescription
- Medicines – Over-the-Counter
- Personal Hygiene Items
- Christian Literature
- Clothing
We do not accept the following types of goods:
- Medical Equipment (oxygen tanks, tables, etc.)
- Medical Supplies (gauze, tubing, etc.)
- Vehicles
- Appliances or Furniture
The published rules for donated medicine
If you wish to donate medicine, please remember our “ABC’s”. We can only receive pharmaceuticals that:
- (a) Come directly from a manufacturer or licensed distributor.
- (b) Are within their expiration date.
- (c) Are unopened.
We ask that gift-in-kind donors take the responsibility to coordinate the shipment of the goods they wish to donate to a World Opportunities distribution center.
Please offer all donated goods in a clean, usable condition. World Opportunities may elect, at its sole discretion, to refuse a donation, regardless of the condition, type, quantity, or usefulness of the goods. This helps us best manage our available resources.
